Part of the “Sugar” series, these photos explore the complexity of transactional relationships, with primary focus on power exchanges between men and women. The photos in this series were taken while I was in an abusive and exploitative relationship and are meant to also give voice to the powerlessness, loneliness, and existential dread I felt at the time. This photo was taken across from the world famous haunted Clown Motel in Tonopah, NV in Dec. 2021.
